Lodging in Frisco, Colorado

Frisco with its quaint historic buildings and renowned restaurants is also a very convenient place to stay in the heart of Summit County, Colorado.  Just 80 miles from Denver International Airport, Frisco is just off I-70 and central to all the outdoor activities in the area.

Frisco has easy access to 5 premier Colorado Ski Areas including: Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland. Vail, Beaver Creek and Ski Cooper are less than 1 hour away allowing you to stay in Frisco and save money on lodging. These world-renowned areas offer skiing in winter, golf in the summer and many activities and events.

Located at the beginning of the Ten Mile Range, the town has wonderful views of the Gore Range, the Continental Divide and the Mountains of Keystone Resort.

With more than 46 kilometers of trails for skiers of all abilities, the Frisco Nordic Center is considered one of the best Nordic centers in Colorado. It is a first-class facility for skating, classic skiing and even snowshoeing.  A variety of lesson programs are offered, along with rental and demo equipment, and each season the Nordic Center hosts several races for all types of competitors. The Nordic Center is typically open from mid-November to early April.
Additional winter activities include sleigh ride dinners and tours, nearby kite boarding, ice skating, sledding and tubing.

In the summer Frisco has its own skate park, disc golf course, Peninsula Recreation Area with a general purpose field and miles of biking and hiking trails. The Frisco Marina offers both kayak and boat rentals for exploring Dillon Reservoir. 

The bike path which flows through Frisco connects to all of Summit County and over Vail Pass all the way down to Glenwood Springs.  From Frisco you can ride to Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail.

Additional summer activities include nearby golf, white water rafting, fly fishing, horseback rides, chairlift rides and more.

Year-round you can experience Frisco’s history at the Frisco Historic Park located at 2nd and Main.  Tour 11 original 1880 buildings that were once saloons, hotels, log homes, the original log chapel and even a dairy cattle ranch house.

The Town of Frisco also maintains and operates a public parks system that provides great places to play for kids and adults alike. Walter Byron and Meadow Creek Parks are available to rent for weddings and reunion picnics.

Summer events include the Music on Main Street series, Frisco’s athletic and arts summer program for kids and adults, the Barbecue Challenge and the Frisco Fabulous Fourth of July.  The 4th of July celebrations include a large Main Street parade, live music and the grand finale -- fireworks over Lake Dillon.

Frisco is well-known for its numerous restaurants and growing nightlife scene.  Ski and snowboard rentals and unique shops make Frisco a very convenient place to stay.  And to make your stay even easier, Safeway, Alpine Natural Foods and Walmart are also in town.
